SETH ROLLINS

Colby Lopez (born May 28, 1986) is an American professional wrestler. He is signed to WWE, where he performs under the ring name Seth Rollins and is the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion in his first reign. He is also a former WWE Tag Team Champion (with Roman Reigns as part of The Shield) and won the 2014 Money in the Bank contract, which he cashed in during the main event of WrestleMania 31.While at WWE's developmental territories Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) and NXT, he was the inaugural NXT Champion and was also the first ever FCW Grand Slam Champion. Prior to signing with WWE, he wrestled as Tyler Black for various independent promotions including Ring of Honor (ROH), winning their Tag Team Championship (with Jimmy Jacobs) and World Championship.

Seth Rollins began his career as an independent wrestler who wasted no time making an impact in the world of sports-entertainment. After becoming the first NXT Champion in August 2012, Rollins quickly moved on to join forces with fellow NXT standouts Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns to wreak havoc on WWE.

The trio debuted in WWE at Survivor Series 2012, smashing Ryback through the announce table and costing him a title match against WWE Champion CM Punk. The group returned the following night on Raw during Punk’s 365-day championship celebration, sending Ryback through the announce table once more.

When Rollins, Ambrose and Reigns finally spoke a week later for the first time in WWE, the trio denied any involvement with Punk. Rollins said they “saw things heading in the wrong direction,” so the group “stepped in and righted those wrongs.” Rollins referred to himself and his cohorts as “a shield from injustice in WWE,” and Ambrose aptly named the group “The Shield.”
So persistent was The Shield’s resistance that, after turning against The Authority, The Game re-formed Evolution with Randy Orton & Batista to combat them. When that failed, he recruited Rollins into the fold, causing "The Architect" to betray his Shield brethren and align himself with The Authority.

The next week, Rollins explained his actions as a business decision and dared his former allies to attack him; despite a timely escape by The Aerialist, Ambrose & Reigns allied with John Cena to defeat The Wyatt Family later in the evening. Rollins not only continued to antagonize Ambrose, but Triple H entered him into a traditional Money in the Bank Ladder Match for a WWE World Heavyweight Championship contract ... without having to qualify first. The next week, he successfully convinced Triple H to allow Ambrose into the match along with The Game's other handpicked competitors so Rollins could better thwart his former teammate's plans against The Authority.

At WrestleMania 31, Rollins was defeated by Orton, falling victim to a brutal mid-air RKO. However Rollins' night was not finished yet, as he would make an appearance during the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns, cashing in his Money in the Bank contract and making the main event a Triple Threat Match. After nailing both Lesnar and Reigns with vicious Curb Stomps, Rollins pinned Reigns to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Orton soon resurfaced as the No. 1 contender after defeating Reigns and Ryback, and, after winning a pair of matches, each Superstar selected a stipulation for Extreme Rules: Rollins banned the RKO, and Orton selected Steel Cage.

At the event, Rollins successfully escaped the cage after getting asisstastance from J&J Security, Kane and the RKO itself. Rollins used maneuver as the final blow that put The Viper down, enabling Rollins to escape the cage and successfully defend his WWE World Heavyweight Title.

At WWE Elimination Chamber 2015, Rollins retained his title against Ambrose one-on-one despite suffering a disqualificaton loss, then watched in horror as Reigns helped The Lunatic Fringe abscond with the WWE Word Heavyweight Championship. The next night, Ambrose managed to manipulate Rollins into granting him a Ladder Match rematch for the title at WWE Money in the Bank. Rollins, looking to prove himself without The Authority, insisted that they stay out of the match. At WWE Money in the Bank 2015, Rollins and Ambrose pulled down the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at the same time, but Rollins proved his mettle as champion by holding onto it for moments longer than his adversary to retain. The next night, in order to test how their champion performed under "pressure," The Authority reinstated Brock Lesnar as Rollins' No. 1 contender for WWE Battleground, and Rollins was forced to make amends with Kane and J&J Security in order to even the odds against The Beast.

At WWE Battleground Seth Rollins was thrown around Suplex City when he defended the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Brock Lesnar. The Beast Incarnate all but had the match won when the Undertaker made his unannounced return and dismantled Lesnar, causing the match to end in a no contest leaving Rollins still the champion.
