PHILLIP JACK BROOKS.!C.M. PUNK

Born in 1978, Phil Brooks had a hard life growing up on the streets where he was confronted by drugs and alcohol. Instead of giving into them, he turned away from them and decided to join the Straight Edge movement of being Alcohol, Drug and Cigarette free. In his teen years, Brooks become a highly disciplined fighter in kick boxing and karate. Not knowing what to do with his life in his early twenties. Phil Brooks decided to join the Steel Domain Wrestling School and was trained by Ace Steel who instantly become one of his best friends.

Now going by the name CM Punk. He rose up the ranks in the Indy wrestling, where he perfected his craft. Punk started using his real life Straight Edge attitude as his wrestling gimmick and quickly become one of the most famous Indy wrestlers after his memorable matches with Chris Hero, Raven and Samoa Joe [He also become very close friends with Colt Cabana and Eddie Guererro]

Becoming the star of Indy Promotion Ring of Honor. CM Punk was offered a WWE try out, where he fought Val Venis in 2005 on Raw. Later that year Punk was given a World Wrestling Entertainment contract and head off to the WWE.

Sent to WWE's development school. CM Punk quickly become the top star there, and even won there World Championship. Before being called up to the main WWE show.

CM Punk debuted in late 2006 on ECW. Where he remained undefeated for months and quickly become the most popular superstar in the land of Extreme. At the 2006 Survivor Series Punk out shined his partners, by being cheered louder than his partners Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy. One week later he preformed in his first ECW main event at the December to Dismember Pay Per View. In 2007, he nearly won the Money in the Bank ladder match at WrestleMania, after defeating King Booker on SmackDown.

This lifted CM Punk up through the WWE ranks high enough to become the top star of ECW. Punk went onto disband the ECW group known as the New Breed, after defeating every single member of the group. Before starting a five month feud with the top bad guy of ECW, the self proclaimed Guru of Greatness John Morrison.

Their rivalry came to a climax in September of 2007 where CM Punk defeated Morrison to earn the ECW World Championship after a hard fought match. As ECW Champion, CM Punk continued to carry ECW, with victory's over Elijah Burke, John Morrison, The Miz, Big Daddy V and Chavo Guererro.

Luck is for losers, at least according to CM Punk. Even though his arm is literally tattooed with good-luck charms, Punk believes you make your own good fortune through hard work and intense preparation.

Growing up in Chicago, the Extremist’s childhood consisted of watching the likes of “Rowdy” Roddy Piper and Jimmy Snuka exchange words, then blows. Such heated rivalries helped Punk realize that sports-entertainment was where he belonged. Adopting the “straightedge” movement—in which one bases their life around personal development, and avoids drugs, alcohol and a dependency lifestyle–Punk has brought his own style to WWE.

Although the former ECW World Champion is part of a new uprising of younger and fresher talent, he stands head and shoulders above the rest. His style is an assimilation of fighting styles he has learned from his travels around the world including Muay Thai Kickboxing and Brazilian Jujitsu. The WWE Universe quickly took notice and showed their respect for his talents, while he remained true to his legion of ROH followers. Punk went on to defeat ECW Legend, Justin Credible, at the famed Hammerstein Ballroom. In his WWE pay-per-view debut as a part of Team DX, Punk brought down the house in Philadelphia. With each victory CM Punk’s star-power only grew stronger within the realms of ECW.
After winning the Money in the Bank ladder match at WrestleMania XXIV, CM Punk was drafted to RAW following the 2008 Draft. Without delay, the summer of 2008 proved to be the Summer of Punk. He cashed in his “Money in the Bank” and captured the World Heavyweight Championship for the first time. Punk proved to his fans and skeptics alike that he is a force to be reckoned with. Although he forfeited the title, his good fortune and perseverance garnered a World Tag Team Championship reign with Kofi Kingston. Punk captured a Slammy Award for the “Oh My God” Moment of the Year that year. He went on to defeat the likes of Snitsky, John Morrison, and Rey Mysterio to earn a shot at the Intercontinental Championship, eventually defeating William Regal for the Title.

CM Punk, the “Straightedge Superstar,” as he came to be known–continues to inspire and as the nineteenth Triple Crown Champion, not only is he “better than you,” but he teaches that with hard work, discipline, and dedication to your goals. You too can be better than you.

Phillip Jack Brooks who is better known as CM Punk in WWE Universe, is one of the most popular superstar and professional American wrestler. He was not born with golden spoon in her mouth and spends hard early life in streets of USA where he had to confront with alcohol and drugs. But CM Punk joined the Straight Edge Movement of being alcohol, drug and cigarette free.
He started his professional career in 1999 but his journey to the top was never easy. Master of GTS (Go to Sleep, Finishing Maneuver) had won many titles in his career and today he is the one of the most popular WWE stars.

M Punk is a 3 time World Champion in the UWF, also the first man to unify 2 World titles into one championship. CM Punk has been on every brand in the history of the fed except for the recently appointed Thunder brand, but currently wrestling under the Smackdown brand. Punk is known to be a sarcastic, arrogant Superstar and is easily one of the most controversial as well. While Punk was always considered a lone wolf, he did open up to having partners and associates later on in his career; most notably his fiancee AJ Lee.

M Punk arrived to the UWF in late December 2011 holding the UCW Championship belt, but oddly enough kept the name of the belt even though the belt officially changed federation. Punk interrupts the announcement from Shane McMahon saying that there will be a title unification match at Rebellion featurin the UCW Champion (Punk) and a World Heavyweight Champion which will be determined at a later date. Punk however was ambushed and taken out by The Rock. Everyone wants to get a piece of Punk on the first night as Jericho made an apperance during Punk's match against Cody Rhodes which caused for a Disqualification descision in Rhodes favour, however Jericho goes after Punk by assaulting him in the ring with a camera, knocking him out too!

On the RAW following Unforgiven, CM Punk came out at the start of the show bragging about going to Wrestlemania as the World Champion and as the Best in the World. After a quick squash against Cody Rhodes while teaming up with Barrett, CM Punk went on commentary for the main event as he saw Randy Orton defeat John Cena in a #1 Contenders match to face off against Punk at Wrestlemania. The following week Punk and Orton exchange disses in the ring which led to heated debate, all until Beer Mone came down and made fun of the situation. A NoDQ match was booked between Beer Money and the team of Punk/Orton by GM Teddy Long, which Orton and Punk won. But not without Orton hitting an RKO to Punk to end the show. Things did not turn out any smoother for the two as they had a contract signing the following week, and even then they brought out some nasty remarks towards one another.

Randy Orton took their feud to the next level when CM Punk was set for a match against the US Champion Wade Barrett in a champion vs champion match. Things were going dandy for Punk until Randy Orton came out an intefered in Punk's match, which costed him the victory and ended up breaking the streak of CM Punk! Punk was completely furious with Orton so much that he waited for Orton to win his match against Dean Ambrose then assaulted him from behind, making a statement. On the go home show for Wrestlemania, CM Punk teamed up with Steve Austin to take on Orton and John Cena, Orton ended up getting laid out by Punk. Although there was never a show written for the first Wrestlemania, CM Punk was booked to win the title match by pinning Orton. Punk however left the company right after Mania due to being unhappy over how things where working in the UWF.

While Punk won the US belt at The Great American Bash, his luck turned for the better when he secured a spot in an Elimination Chamber match for the UWF Championship at Summerslam! Punk got a good start in the match psychology when he defeated fellow Elimation Chamber participant Chris Jericho in a one on one match. CM Punk however was eliminated by the man whom he defeated at Wrestlemania, Randy Orton, and his dreams of becoming World Champion once more was put on hold. Things however went from bad to worse for CM Punk as he was forced to defend his title against Kofi Kingston on an episode of RAW and lost it that night, resulting in Punk officially losing his first ever title run.

CM Punk returned unexpectly at the Vengeance PPV, interrupting NXT GM John Bradshaw Layfield during his announcement about the tournament, Punk spoiling that he was a contestant in said tournament, much to the annoyance of JBL. CM Punk returned to action on the following episode of NXT in the tournament, but lost against Abyss after interferance by Bully Ray. JBL then booked Bully Ray vs CM Punk in a #1 Contenders match at King of the Ring. Bully Ray and CM Punk both battled each other on the next edition of NXT in a tag team match also featuring Rhino and R-Truth, which Bully Ray and CM Punk took each other out (R-Truth then got the victory over Rhino). CM Punk then battled it out with Bully Ray in a very physical contest but unfortunatly Bully Ray came out on top and was declared the winner.

The following night after King of the Ring, CM Punk was placed in a Contenders match for the NXTreme Championship featuring R-Truth, Seth Rollins and Zack Ryder. CM Punk then battled fellow opponent Seth Rollins one on one on NXT, which Rollins defeated Rollins by submission, and heading into Surivor Series winning a match over one of the contendership match contestants. Of course that didn't help Punk's momentum very much as Rollins was taken out prior to the match at Survivor Series. Punk battled it out with just R-Truth and Zack Ryder, to which Zack Ryder ended up winning the match by hitting the Rough Ryder onto R-Truth.

CM Punk walked out to the ring on the NXT next week and gave out one of his pipe bombs in the ring, claiming about Rollins and how he is mistreated by the NXT Management. Taz then came out and they had a match on NXT, to which Taz ended up winning the match by submission after Rhino interfered against Punk. A match was set up between Punk and Rhino in a #1 Contenders match at New Years Revolution. NXT took a crazy turn the following week as Punk was placed in a 5 Stages of Hell Elimination Match featuring Bully Ray, Kane, Sting and Taz, which NXT Champion Bully Ray won. Punk then met with Rhino at New Year's Revolution and ended up defeatin the Man Beast to become the #1 Contender for the NXT Championship belt, who defeated the Miz to retain his championship on the same night.

CM Punk went on to face Zack Ryder next week on NXT , and ultimately came out on top. Punk then confronted with JBL in the ring later on in the night and alligns himself with JBL and the Young Ryders, taking out several superstars in the ring including Extreme Champion Taz. The next week Punk started to play the mind games on Bully Ray as he interfered in Ray's match against youngster Johnny Curtis, stealing his belt which led to Curtis getting a huge win over the NXT Champion. Punk then joins The Cabinent in the main event assault against AJ Styles, which lead to the return of Sting who helped saved Styles. At the Royal Rumble, the big day finally came for CM Punk as he managed to capture the NXT World Championship against Bully Ray after hitting the GTS to Ray.

NXT Champion, Feud with Austin, and Anarchy (January 2013-June 2013)

CM Punk arrived to the January 30th edition of NXT as the new NXT Champion in it's opening moments, talking about how a new dawn of Wednesday Nights is about to happen and how he's there to change the definition of a World Champion. He then goes into an in ring interview session with The Miz as he talks about his win and what he plans on accomplishing as the NXT Champion. CM Punk though decides to act on his own by ignoring JBL's orders to attack, much to the disproval of JBL, who says that Punk has a week to detmine where he stands on NXT . All while CM Punk has been confirmed for his first title defence to be consisted in an Elimination Chamber featuring Rhino, Johnny Curtis, Austin Aries, Bully Ray and Taz. Punk then confronts JBL on next week's episode and says that he's not ready to make a decsion, and will make one on his own terms rather then JBL's. Punk then took out The Miz under JBL's order after the main event got cancelled, but then Punk turned on JBL and hit the GTS on the NXT GM! Punk no showed the following week as Sting was taken out by Austin Aries and Umaga. Punk then arrived at No Way Out in his Elimination Chamber matchup, but ultimately lost to Rhino who scored the championship!

After a brief time of absence, CM Punk returned to action on the March 13th edition of NXT, wrestling in a tournament to face Rhino at Wrestlemania but fell short to Chris Jericho. Punk appeared at next week's edition of NXT after interrupting the NXT GM Stone Cold Steve Austin. Punk got into the face of the Texas Rattlesnake. Punk then makes a mockery of the former UWF Champion, which prompts Austin to attack the former NXT Champion on the spot. A match was made between Austin and CM Punk for Wrestlemania II. Austin decided to have a litle fun with the big mouth as he costed Punk his match against Austin Aries. Wrestlemania II came long on April 7th, 2013 where CM Punk finally met Austin in a match, where CM Punk became victorious after Austin Aries attacked Austin. This makes Punk's second consecutive win at Wrestlemania.

After Wrestlemania, CM Punk appeared on the repackaged NXT known as Anarchy and declared that he was going to cash in his rematch clause against Rhino at Money in the Bank, but unfortunatly Kurt Angle got involved in the mix as well. Angle, while new to Wednesday Nights, certainly acted like a vetern after clashing with Punk during the main event of Anarchy, not to mention that Raven got involved as well. Raven then teamed up with past Cabinet member Umaga as they took on Kurt Angle and World Champion Rhino, to which they ended up winning. Money in the Bank came around quickly on June 2nd, 2013 as Punk entered in the Triple Threat contest with Champion Rhino and Kurt Angle, which Punk ended up capturing after 'robbing it' from Rhino, which makes Punk the only person to have held the NXT/International Championship twice.

CM Punk went back on the spotlight however as he entered a vicious rivarly with Chris Masters after interrupting the live wedding between Masters and fiancee Layla. Punk then went on to ruin the duo's lives, eventually bringing in AJ Lee as his own valet. Punk was always behind Chris Masters and took every opportunity possible to make their lives a living hell, but Masters would finally get his revenge as Punk and Lee were booked in a Mixed Tag Team match for the Hardcore Championship against Masters and Layla at Wrestlemania, but once again CM Punk came up short after a VERY brutal contest! CM Punk was rewarded for his huge efforts by Smackdown GM Paul Heyman as he was entered into the Heyman Invitational Tournament on the May 4th, 2014 edition of Smackdown, but he lost in the main event of Smackdown against the returning Goldberg.

CM Punk however managed to win the United States Championship at Heatwave after Vince McMahon handed him the championship, who stripped it away from Rob Van Dam for no showing the event.
